Evolution
The evolution of my painting could be explained as follows:
My paintings have evolved significantly over the years. Initially, I painted very realistic paintings. I was interested in realism, hyper realism and impressionism during my years at the University of Fine Arts. I worked mainly with figures and landscapes using different expressive media.
When I finished my studies, my painting began to become more spontaneous, the strokes looser. I experimented with abstraction and then worked for several years with expressionist figures and landscapes.
From the 1990s, I worked for some fifteen years and up until now on investigating and rediscovering the landscape, painting and experimenting with “material” painting: textures, reliefs and different materials.
Even though I have always been interested in and have worked with the human figure, I am now, after having worked specifically with my particular landscape interpretations, initiating a new phase with the human figure, but with photographs and painting, experimenting with different types of media and larger formats.
Now in my exhibitions, I would also like to show portraits and fragments of the human body, in large formats, to enjoy and show the figure again.
Plastic creation and Art is my life, my universe!
